“ After having a walk in the compact old town and a stroll along the (empty) Boardwalk we felt hungry and spotted this place. The weather was nice and our Bulldog welcome as well. The items on the menu looked all really good. Ended up ordering a plate of Gambas a la plancha (grilled shrimp) and some cold foie gras with walnuts and jam. The food was of a very high quality. Some of the best and freshest shrimp we've ever eaten. Only remember to have better ones than these once in our lives. Fresh, tender, sweet. The Foie Gras was wonderful as well. Nice texture, home-made, fully made out of foie...no other fillers. Matched perfectly with the cherry jam and the walnuts. Melted in our mouths. Fish and seafood on other tables looked tasty as well, but we had a big dinner waiting. But definitely a place to come back to. The town itself was deserted at that time during Covid-19, but this restaurant is worth a drive. Fair prices and friendly staff. Highly recommended! Update - a second visit: Came back this summer in 2023. And good news: It still is absolute perfection. We ordered a bottle of wine. "12 Lineages Gran Vino Rueda". A fantastic wine. A fruity, golden-coloured wine. Got a plate of ham croquetas, a plate of grilled shrimp, a plate of clams (almejas). And also an item that we've had last time, but wasn't on the menu. But it was available anyways: Foie Gras. All dishes were amazing. The shrimp cooked to perfection with wonderful grill flavours. The croquetas was nice and creamy inside. The Foie Gras still one of the very best around. And nicely sized. A great suprise were the clams. Nice sized clams with a sauce to die for. Broth, oil, garlic and herbs. Divine. Staff was great as well. The guy who took the reservation came to say hello as well. Great people all around. It's still one of the very best restaurants we know in Spain. Or anywhere. High quality food. Fair prices. Great staff. What's not to like. And our Bulldog was welcome here as well. Highly recommended. ”
